Aberdeen are the latest club to be linked with a move for one of Dundee’s prize assets, Greg Stewart.
The 26-year-old front man still has a year left on his contract at Dens with the Dark Blues currently trying to persuade him to sign an extension.
Stewart, who has been a revelation since he signed from part-time Cowdenbeath two seasons ago, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Rangers.
However, it is now understood that Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has set his sights on bringing the player to Pittodrie.
Whether the Dons would be willing to match Dundee’s valuation of Stewart remains to be seen but they would be in a strong bargaining position with the front man only having a year left on his contract.
