Paul Hartley looking for three new players at Dundee

Three is the magic number for Paul Hartley just now as far as new signings are concerned.

Dundee, who have already brought in Inverness duo James Vincent and Danny Williams on pre-contracts, are in discussions with a number of players.

One of them is understood to be Hamilton full-back Ziggy Gordon.

If there were departures the Dark Blues’ transfer market needs may change, but at the moment Hartley said: “We want to add two or three.

“We have been speaking to targets and we want decisions from them in the next week or so.

“We have to try and strengthen the squad and hopefully we are in the process of doing that.

“It’s important to get the business done and take them to pre-season with you. Because the season starts so much earlier this year you have to have everything in place much earlier.”
