Dundee have announced that Daryll Meggatt has left the club by mutual consent. The 25-year-old defender joined the Dark Blues last summer from Alloa but struggled to make an impact at Dens. He only featured six times for the club with his last appearance coming on May 7 against Hamilton. Now, he has parted company with Dundee despite having a year left on his deal. Ayr United manager Ian McCall recently admitted he was a big admirer of Meggatt and the player could now be heading to Somerset Park.
