As Courier Sport revealed last week, Harkins is no longer in manager Paul Hartley’s plans and has been told he can find another club. There are no concrete offers for him yet, it is understood, but Harkins will train with the youth team for the time being. Meanwhile, Hartley has received a triple injury boost ahead of today’s Betfred Cup clash with Dumbarton. Scott Bain and Greg Stewart will both play, while Paul McGowan could return against Forfar in midweek. “Scott will be in the squad for the weekend and so will Greg Stewart,” Hartley said. “Paul McGowan is seeing his specialist to get the okay to start playing games again. We don’t see any problems so he should be back on Tuesday. “He has been training so he’s fit and will be straight back in. Fitness isn’t an issue with him.”
