Dundee expect to have on-loan midfielder Ethan Robson back for the Premiership trip to Livingston next week.
The young Sunderland star missed Wednesday night’s draw with Kilmarnock at Dens Park because of a groin strain suffered against Hamilton Accies on his debut last weekend.
He was touch and go for the Killie clash and the Dark Blues are confident the 22-year-old will be back in full training early next week.
Meanwhile, despite the last-minute penalty miss by Kenny Miller that blew an opportunity to win all three points, boss Jim McIntyre believes the way his side held on in the second half when the visitors were on top in midweek showed he’s added character to his squad.
Jim even felt that was evident when Dundee lost a first-half equaliser when they were on top but reacted by going up the park and retaking the lead.
“We bounced straight back and it’s always a great time to score, straight after you’ve conceded.
“It’s a brilliant finish from young Andrew Nelson.
“The boys showed character then and with the way they dug in during the second half.”
Broken foot victim Andrew Davies, meanwhile, is back working in the gym.
He suffered his injury within days of signing last month.
With Dundee taking a big support to Hamilton last weekend, next week’s opponent Livi have sent a batch of tickets through to Dens and they’re now available from the ticket office.
Tickets are also available for the trip to Rangers at the end of the month. With only a limited number available, anyone planning to go is urged to buy early.
