Dundee have signed Swedish midfielder-cum-defender Andreas Hadenius on loan from Halmstads for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old will not be cleared in time to face Hearts at Tynecastle tonight, but is in line to make his debut when Motherwell visit Dens Park on Saturday.
In the market for another defender after Andrew Davies broke his foot in a bounce game just days after signing from Hartlepool earlier this month, Dark Blues boss had Hadenius over for training last week.
He impressed both in midfield and at the back, so Jim’s been working hard since to get a deal for him finalised.
“He’s versatile and he’s played a lot of games in the middle of the park. He’s over six feet, strong and can pass the ball.
“But he’s also been brought up as a centre-back as well. He’s got that flexibility.
“He fitted in well with the group when he was here for a couple of days.”
