Dundee have reportedly had a bid for Ross County midfielder Michael Gardyne rejected by the Championship club.
The Tele reported in the summer that attacking midfielder Gardyne was on the radar of the Dens Park club before he signed a new one-year deal with the Staggies.
And, despite a change in manager, their interest has reportedly continued into this transfer window.
The Staggies, however, are reluctant to lose one of their most experienced players and have reportedly turned down the Dark Blues’ advances.
The Dundonian has played more than 350 times over three spells at County and was a key part of current Dens gaffer Jim McIntyre’s squad that won the 2016 League Cup.
Now 32, the ex-Dundee United man has played 16 times for the Championship leaders this season.
