Dark Blues hero Fabian Caballero likes what he’s seen of old foe Neil McCann’s Dundee.
Back in town for a series of charity events, the Argentinian star also travelled to watch Dundee’s draw at champions Celtic on Wednesday night.
And he was impressed by their performance as they picked up another vital point in their battle to stay in the Premiership.
He even felt McCann’s team could have chalked up a first win over the Hoops since his double at Parkhead secured three points way back in May 2001.
“I thought Dundee were good, they have some good players,” said Fabian, who is now a politician in Paraguay.
“And right at the end they have a very good chance to score and could have won the game.”
He was also interested to see McCann in the dugout and still has painful memories of a past meeting with the manager.
“I remember him from the cup final in 2003 when he played with the opponents at Ibrox, Rangers.
“That could have been a good day for us, it was a close game. We could have won the game.”
While he’s been in Scotland, Fabian has been catching up with old team-mates like Barry Smith and is looking forward to teaming up with Lee Wilkie again for Sunday afternoon’s action.
“I still speak to my friend Beto Carranza when I am back home and it has been good to speak to my friends here from Dundee.
“My heart is always at this club.”
