Frozen-out Dundee goalie Scott Bain is being chased by a trio of top-six clubs.
Temporary employers Celtic, as well as Hibs and Hearts, are all keen to fix up the 26-year-old when his contract expires in the summer.
Bain made his debut for the Hoops in Sunday’s 3-2 Old Firm win at Ibrox.
That was his first top-team game since he fell out with Dens boss Neil McCann after a 3-1 home defeat to Hamilton at the end of October.
He was loaned to Hibs at the start of January but left for a similar deal at Celtic in the switch that saw Scott Allan head for Easter Road and Simon Murray come to Dens Park.
The former Scotland squad member will remain at Celtic for the rest of the season, meaning he has played his last game for Dundee.
But his past perfor-mances plus Sunday’s impressive showing against Rangers have only strengthened the resolve of top clubs to get him.
It’s understood Celtic would have signed him on a permanent deal in January had their been time and a willingness on the part of Dundee to do such a deal.
Now, though, they could get him for free in a summer.
Dundee, meanwhile, were expected hear from the SFA by the end of the day whether or not manager Neil McCann will be in hot water for the bust up with several members of the St Johnstone backroom staff after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at Dens.
