Former boss Paul Hartley has made clear he’s not making a move to add crocked Dundee centre-half James McPake to his coaching staff at Falkirk.
Hartley has already added ex-Dens fitness coach Tam Ritchie to his backroom staff.
After snapping up Jimmy Nicholl as his assistant, he doesn’t intend further additions.
There had been speculation McPake, out with knee damage since the 2016 derby win over Dundee United, would be moving to Falkirk as a coach. His old boss says it’s not happening.
Hartley has given his backing to former Dee keeper David Mitchell, who’s facing nine months out with a knee problem.
He said: “It’s a long road for David so we have to make sure we’re here to support him. We’ll have him around the club.”
