Dundee striker Alex Jakubiak is set for another spell on the sidelines after being injured in an altercation outside a nightclub. The 25-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder following an incident near the Underground club in Dundee city centre on Saturday night. It’s understood Jakubiak, who had been out in the city following Saturday’s defeat to Rangers, left the scene in a taxi. The former Scotland U/19 international was treated at Ninewells Accident and Emergency. Alex Jakubiak in derby action for Dundee against United. The injury is yet another in a string of disruptions to Jakubiak’s time at Dens Park. After signing last summer, his first season saw ankle and a nasty thigh injury restrict him to just five first-team appearances. He has already passed that number this term but has also been out with a muscle injury, then contracted Covid-19. He came off the bench to make his sixth appearance of the campaign in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Rangers. Courier Sport understands Police Scotland have received no complaints in relation to the incident. Dundee FC did not wish to comment.
