After an at-times frustrating month, Dundee boss Paul Hartley was a happy man after making a couple of transfer deadline-day signings.
The Dark Blues added Henrik Ojamaa and Marc Klok to their squad.
Ojamaa comes on loan from Dutch outfit Go Ahead Eagles until the end of the season, while Klok’s switch is on a short-term contract from Oldham Athletic.
The manager sees Ojamaa as a perfect foil for Marcus Haber in attack, while Klok will operate in the middle of the park.
“We are delighted to get Henrik in and I think he’ll be perfect for playing alongside Marcus,” said Paul.
“We have been looking for someone to complement him and add pace to our attack, so he will be ideal for that.
“Henrik had a great first spell with Motherwell, scoring a lot of goals and got a very good move to Legia Warsaw on the back of that.
“He’s still only 25 but has lots of experience at both club and international level, so he’ll be a good addition to the squad.
“I’ve felt we’ve been a bit short up front because both Craig Wighton and Faissal El Bakhtaoui are still developing, so at times they will have to be taken out.
“But getting Henrik on board means we’ve got more options now and I think his style will add something to the team.”
And Klok did enough in training early this week to show he should be offered a deal.
“We have had Marc in for a few days training with us and liked what we saw.
“He’s done really well, technically he’s very good and is a good passer of the ball.
“He’s a hard worker, so he’ll add something to the middle of the park for us.
“Marc was a young lad when he first came to Scotland, I think he was only 19 when Derek Adams took him to Ross County.
“Having that experience of the league, even though he only played a few games, is an advantage because he knows what it’s all about.
“He’s got a contract to the end of the season, so it’s up to him to impress and win a longer stay.
“There is now more competition up front with bringing Henrik in and I think Marc will add to our options in the middle of the park.”
Yordi Teijsse headed out of Dens, on loan to German provincial outfit Wuppertaler SV until the summer. The plan is for the Dutchman to return for next term.
“Yordi has found it tough in Scotland, he hasn’t settled in here like we thought he would.
“He’s found it difficult to adapt, so he needs to be playing. Hopefully, he’ll get games when he’s away and come back in the summer better for it.”
