Paul Hartley believes strikers Yordi Teijsse and Faissal El Bakhtaoui will be big hits in the Premiership.
But the Dundee manager has warned fans they will need time to adjust to life in the top flight.
Both came on against Rangers last weekend and there’s a chance one of them will start against Hamilton Accies at Dens tonight.
While he’s confident they can do a job for the team, the gaffer says their best is still to come.
“Faissal scored a lot of goals for Dunfermline in League One but it is a big jump to the Premiership,” he said.
“I’m sure it’s one he can make but he’s got to have time.
“The physicality at this level is different, so he’ll have to adjust to that — but he will be a good player for us.
“Yordi we are working with every day but he still has a lot to learn.
“He’s also making a big step up from the level he was at in Holland.
“I’ve seen him getting better every day but we are not going to put pressure on him.
“He showed when he came on last week he has something to offer.”
Dundee have fitness worries going into tonight.
Craig Wighton was set for a recall to the starting line-up but a knee injury suffered in training has ruled him out.
Michael Duffy is doubtful because of a thigh problem and Paul McGowan has missed training after picking up a bug.
