Bulgarian Kostadin Gadzhalov has signed a new contract that will keep him at Dundee for at least another year.
The 26-year-old joined up from Dobrudzha Dobrich in January last year and made 15 appearances in the season just ended.
They included his first goal for the Dark Blues when he netted the equaliser in last month’s crucial derby win over Dundee United.
Although not a regular starter, manager Paul Hartley has been delighted with the cover he’s provided in the defensive area.
A squad player in his time with the Dark Blues so far, Dundee believe he can challenge strongly for a starting place from the beginning of the new season.
