Dundee players and club chiefs are at loggerheads over a bonus dispute. Without a league win and bottom of the Premiership, a money wrangle is the last thing the Dark Blues need. However, talks between players and managing director John Nelms have dragged on into the season, as reported by the Sun. Initial hopes were a deal would be struck over win bonuses for league and cup games in the summer. Dundee were beaten 3-1 by St Johnstone on Saturday to remain bottom of the table. It’s understood the amounts offered by the club are much lower than bonuses at other similar sized teams. And that has led club captain Charlie Adam to represent the playing squad in talks with Nelms. An agreement is yet to be made, though, with Nelms’ trip to America and Adam’s injury understood to have held up matters. It is hoped the talks will come to a conclusion before their next fixture, though there has been no breakthrough yet. Dundee’s next game is against Aberdeen at Dens Park on October 16.
