Dundee midfielder grateful to Paul Hartley for chance

Mark O’Hara has regularly tried to state his case to be a midfielder.
But he became used to his plea falling on deaf ears.
Dundee boss Paul Hartley is the first manager to give him his chance, with the former Kilmarnock man making a big impression for the Dark Blues in his favoured position.
And he knows who he has to thank for the opportunity.
“When I was at Kilmarnock I spoke with the managers and told them I wanted to play in midfield,” O’Hara recalled.
“But it just never happened consistently.
“I would have the odd game there, then be back filling in at right-back or centre-back.
“The manager (Hartley) says he has always seen me as a midfielder. That was one of the big attractions of coming to Dundee.
“He believes in me as a midfielder and I’m really thankful of the opportunity he has given me.”
