Former Dundee boss John Brown admits he is delighted that two local kids from his time at Dens have now matured into first-team regulars.
“Bomber” saw the potential Cammy Kerr and Craig Wighton possessed even two years ago.
Now, the former has been virtually ever present since starting against Dundee United in the New Year derby on January 2, while the latter finished last season strongly.
Brown said: “When I was manager, Cammy was a raw, young kid but he went away on loan to Peterhead and that will make you grow up when you are getting a slap or two from senior players.
“Cammy has a great attitude and I hope he has a fantastic career. He has a big desire and is a lad who works really hard on his game.
“Craig also has fantastic ability and given the opportunity, he will score goals for Dundee.
“You could see he had to fill out but it was obvious the quality he had.
“It is great for the future of the club that you have two local lads coming through the ranks.”
