Dundee are sweating over the fitness of club captain Darren O’Dea ahead of next Sunday’s clash with Aberdeen at Dens.
The big Irishman was substituted just 36 minutes into Saturday’s game against Kilmarnock after suffering a foot injury.
The 29-year-old left the ground on crutches and is now a big doubt for the game against the Dons.
Dark Blues boss Paul Hartley is already resigned to being without O’Dea’s centre-half partner Kevin Gomis who is set to serve a suspension after receiving a straight red card late on against Killie.
The manager admitted that the Frenchman’s challenge on Charlee Adams was a deserved dismissal.
He said: “It was a late challenge. He was sold a bit short with the pass but we have no complaints.
“But we are without two centre-halves now with Gomis and O’Dea struggling.
“He took a knock on his foot so we’ll just have to wait to see how he is.”
