Dundee are sweating on the fitness of influential midfielder Tom Hateley ahead of the visit of Premiership leaders Celtic.
The former Motherwell man, who was signed as a free agent after the transfer window shut, pulled up just 10 minutes into the second half in Inverness on Saturday.
The groin injury forced him to be replaced by Rory Loy and it is yet to be determined whether it will make him a doubt for Saturday’s clash with Brendan Rodgers’ men.
Manager Paul Hartley said: “He’s hurt his groin a little bit so we’ll assess him and see how he is.”
If there was one piece of good news coming out of the defeat in Inverness it was the return from injury of Hateley’s fellow midfielder Nicky Low.
It was his first start of the season following ankle surgery.
Hartley added: “It’s been a long time coming and he’s had a lot of injuries since coming to the club.
