Dundee defender wants to give home fans something to cheer about

Dundee defender Julen Etxabeguren is determined that the Dark Blues’ home fans will get the same sort of performance on Saturday as those who travelled to Hamilton last weekend.
The 391 behind the goal at the Superseal Stadium were served up a gutsy display by Paul Hartley’s side, as they ended a six-game Premiership losing streak with a 1-0 win.
And now Etxabeguren and his team-mates are looking to make it back to back victories against Lanarkshire sides when Motherwell come to town.
The former East Fife centre-back said: “Everyone in the team wants to give the home fans a good performance and a win. They deserve it.
“If we play with the same attitude and work rate, then we will get it.
“The hard work starts now. We have to keep it going and keep showing this attitude for our next game against Motherwell.”
It goes without saying that another clean-sheet would be more than welcome.
Etxabeguren added: “When you keep clean-sheets you either draw or win.
“We have to build on this clean-sheet and keep working.”
