Dundee boss hails ‘huge impact’ of striker Craig Wighton

Craig Wighton has made a “huge impact” for Dundee in their recent Premiership rival, manager Paul Hartley admitted.
The teenager Wighton has been paired in attack with Marcus Haber since the Hamilton game that ended a long winless run a few weeks ago, and opened the scoring in style in the 2-1 defeat of Inverness on Saturday.
“Wighton has been doing that for probably the last month,” Hartley said. “He’s made a huge impact alongside Haber up front.
“His goal was class. He showed great maturity. He’s got that ability about him but he’s working hard off the ball also.
“We’ve been patient with him and he’s bulked up. There’s been a lot of expectation on his young shoulders because he’s got natural talent.
“He’s got the jersey now and hopefully he can keep it.”
