Dundee were cheered off at full-time after being booed off at half-time as they stunned Hearts with a 3-2 comeback win at Dens Park last night.
The Dark Blues looked down and out at 2-0 but they dug in and fought back to beat Ian Cathro’s men thanks to second-half goals from Darren O’Dea, Paul McGowan and, three minutes into stoppage-time, the winner from Marcus Haber.
It was a fantastic victory for Paul Hartley and his players and a result that can surely give them a massive boost for the remainder of the season.
Hartley admitted that it had been a game of two halves.
The Dundee boss said: “We were very poor in the first half and could have been dead and buried.
“But I think the players deserve credit because they went from being a team of individuals to a real team in the second half.
“Once we scored I think the momentum went with us and we caused them a lot of problems by getting the ball into the box.
“The break for the injury (treatment for Hearts player Don Cowie was the reason for the nine minutes added on) maybe helped us because it gave us a chance to regroup and get back into our shape.
“We know we can’t start games like that but our home form has been good.
“That has been 10 points from the last four games.
“The way things happened in this match will give us confidence going forward.”
