Dundee will be without skipper Darren O’Dea for the league game against Aberdeen on January 27 with the player set to serve a suspension.
The 29-year-old Irishman, who missed Saturday’s 3-0 win over St Johnstone because of illness, picked up a booking in the 76th minute of last Wednesday night’s game at Partick Thistle.
It was defender O’Dea’s sixth caution of the Premiership campaign which means he automatically incurs a one-match ban.
The SFA have confirmed that will be served from January 11, 2017, meaning he will miss the trip to Pittodrie.
That will be Dundee’s first Premiership fixture after the winter break.
