Dundee will be without at least three players for this weekend’s Championship home clash with Hamilton Accies.
The Dark Blues, however, are hopeful striker Zak Rudden can shrug off the issue that kept him out against Raith Rovers on Saturday.
He missed the 2-0 Dens victory after tweaking a hamstring last week in training and boss Gary Bowyer is hopeful he will have the Scotland U/21 man to call upon once more.
Marshall and McGowan
Still missing for Dundee, though, will be Jordan Marshall and Paul McGowan.
Both have knee injuries with Marshall missing the last two and McGowan out since being an unused sub against Morton on October 22.
Marshall, however, has received positive news following a scan on a knee injury picked up at Queen’s Park.
Bowyer revealed last week the medical team wanted to rule out anything serious and the scan results have shown no need for surgery.
When the left-back may be available again, though, is unclear.
Anderson and Grayson
As for the two who went off injured in the first half against Raith, Max Anderson is certainly out for this weekend.
He suffered a cut to the head but concussion protocols mean he is unavailable.
Joe Grayson, meanwhile, limped off after just 18 minutes.
“We will know more in the week with Joe,” manager Bowyer said.
“His calf is still sore but we are hoping it will settle down and it has not really gone.
“With Max Anderson we have to follow the protocol with concussion and he will miss the Hamilton game.
“Zak Rudden missed out with a hamstring problem and we will monitor that later in the week as well.
“Paul McGowan and Jordan Marshall are still out. They will certainly not return to training this week.
“Jordan’s scan results came back and fortunately there is no surgery required but there is a bit of irritation there that just needs to settle down with time.”
