Gary Bowyer has urged his Dundee team to bring their shooting boots to face Hamilton on Saturday as they aim to make it three wins on the spin.
The Dark Blues come into the contest having picked up maximum points against Partick Thistle and Raith Rovers in the last fortnight.
The weekend sees them take on an Accies side who find themselves bottom of the Championship after 15 games.
However, Bowyer has warned his side not to get carried away with their good recent form.
And points to Hamilton’s surprise win at Inverness in October and their performance in defeat against league leaders Ayr United last time out.
“There are no weak teams in this league,” Bowyer said.
“Hamilton are bottom, but, if we allow them to play, they have players who can hurt us.
“Hamilton beat Inverness and I watched them last week against Ayr. It was a penalty to win it for Ayr but Hamilton have good footballers and I like the way they play.
“We should have been out of sight a little bit when we played them last but they had opportunities at 1-0 to get something out of the game.
“We know we have to be right at it.
“That’s been the message to the players this week.
“We don’t get carried away, we just focus on the next game.
“It’s another three points on offer and we want to get as many of those three points as we can.”
Ruthless
As happy as he was with the team’s performance last time out against Raith, Bowyer wants to see his side make more of the chances they create.
He has urged his team to show a more ruthless side to their game all season and he’s keen to see that this weekend.
“I want them to continue to show the fight and commitment they have shown recently,” he added.
“But I do want us to be more ruthless in front of goal.
“The amount of chances we keep creating, we need to take more of them.
“Last week we were good in front of our own goal, I remember Jordan McGhee throwing himself in front of one late on showed the desire to keep it out of the back of the net.
“We need more of that as well.”
‘We’ll give him as long as we can’
Certainly missing for the Dark Blues will be young midfielder Max Anderson after suffering a head knock that forced him off last time out.
Left-back Jordan Marshall and experienced midfielder Paul McGowan, too, will be absent as they recover from knee injuries.
Joe Grayson and Zak Rudden, though, may be fit enough to shake off calf and hamstring issues to be available for Saturday’s clash.
“At the beginning of the week Max still had one or two symptoms. That was to be expected for the blow it was,” Bowyer explained.
“Following the protocol he’ll be missing on Saturday. That’s the right thing to do because player welfare is the most important thing.
“Joe Grayson will be a doubt for Saturday but we’ll give him as long as we can.
“McGowan and Marshall won’t play Saturday but good news for McGowan is he’s pencilled in to start running next week.
“Marshy is the same but it’s still a bit slow at the moment.”
Rudden, meanwhile, trained on Thursday but will have to prove his fitness ahead of the weekend.
