Dundee’s Craig Wighton to represent Scotland in Toulon

Dundee striker Craig Wighton has been named in the Scotland squad for the prestigious Toulon Tournament in France.

National under-20 coach Scot Gemmill has picked the Dark Blues’ frontman as one of his four attackers for the competition.

The Scots start their campaign with a match against the Czech Republic on May 31 before facing Brazil on June 3 and Indonesia three days later.

This will be Scotland’s eighth appearance at the festival, the most recent being in 1997 when the likes of Lee McCulloch, Gary Naysmith and Barry Ferguson competed before going on to earn full international honours.

England are the current holders of the trophy after defeating France 2-1 in the final last year.
