Former Dundee United midfielder Scott Allan has joined his former city rivals Dundee.
The 25-year-old was tipped as one of the Tangerines’ hottest prospects but he struggled to break through after moving south to West Brom.
Allan’s career got back on track when he signed for Hibs in 2014, and his impressive displays saw him snapped up by Celtic.
However, Allan was unable to make the breakthrough at Celtic Park and will be looking to get some much-needed game time at Dens Park under their new manager Neil McCann.
He has joined on a season-long loan from the Premiership champions.
Also unveiled today was Roarie Deacon, a 25-year-old former Arsenal youth midfielder who has been playing latterly at Sutton United.
Deacon came through the ranks at Arsenal before gaining experience in Leagues One and Two in England.
Most recently, he has been with Sutton, where he impressed last season during their FA Cup run, starring against both Leeds United and his old club Arsenal.
