Scott Allan’s groin surgery has been a success, Dundee manager Neil McCann confirmed.
And parent club Celtic will be keeping the Dark Blues boss informed on the expected recovery time.
“He’s had successful surgery,” reported McCann.
“Because he’s a loan player we, quite rightly, have to be guided by Celtic and their medical staff. It’s early days and we’re just waiting.
“He’s just had his operation so we don’t really know any more.”
Allan had been struggling with a groin problem for around a month after it first became an issue at Ibrox. The decision was made to get him operated on during the international break.
