Single-minded Dundee keeper Elliot Parish has admitted that the circumstances surrounding Scott Bain’s first team exile are no concern of his.
And Saturday’s Dens Park hero, who made a crucial late save to deny Kilmarnock a winning goal, is only focused on holding on to his starting place and helping his team up the Premiership table.
Bain hasn’t played since a reported bust-up with manager Neil McCann.
“We’re in a team sport and I’m all for this team, this manager and everyone at the club,” said Parish.
“But you have to be selfish within that. I’m here to keep my spot. Me being selfish is going to help the team.
“I’ll be honest, whatever’s going on (regarding Bain), I’m not interested. I just want to keep my spot and help the team climb the league.”
