Dundee will use their frustration at Saturday’s hard luck story as motivation for a daunting pre-split fixture list, according to Roarie Deacon.
The Dark Blues have Celtic away next up in midweek, with games against Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen also still to come before the Premiership is divided into two halves.
And Deacon believes it is a good chance to prove that they are a better team than the weekend scoreline against Motherwell may suggest.
“We have to use it as motivation,” he said.
“We’ve played well and we can play even better. We need to try and impose our game on Celtic and do what we have to do.
“We have to play our own game. We did very well there earlier in the season and were unfortunate not to get a result that day as well.”
Deacon is looking forward to coming up against at least one former team-mate at Celtic Park.
He said: “I want to get Jack (Hendry) one v one!
“We had a lot of battles in training and it would be great to have a little battle with him at their place on Wednesday.
“You never know we might be coming up against Scott (Bain) as well. If we do, I’d love to stick one past him.”
