Dundee boss optimistic going into post-split games

Neil McCann insists Dundee will shrug off last weekend’s heavy defeat to Rangers and go into the post-split fixtures full of confidence.
The Dark Blues remain embroiled in the Premiership relegation battle as they approach the remaining five games in third-bottom spot.
The Dens Park men have a five-point lead over Partick Thistle and enjoy a four-point advantage over Ross County despite only winning one out of their last 10.
McCann said: “There are no givens and you have to earn the right because the sides coming into the split will be fired up.
“They’ll think Dundee will now be on the floor after a heavy defeat.
“But we won’t be. I’ve said that to the players.
“We’ve taken great heart from our performance when we should have got three points against Hearts and great heart from our performance and clean sheet against Celtic.
“So, we should be confident going into these next five games.”
