Steven Caulker has trained with the Dundee squad after returning early from the Portuguese trip to have a scan on an injury.
The central defender was hurt during the Dark Blues’ first of two friendlies in the Algarve, against Portimonense on Saturday, and was given an early ticket home to Scotland, thus missing the second fixture against Farense on Tuesday.
A report in a national newspaper had suggested that the Englishman had been guilty of an unspecified breach of club discipline.
However, the Dens men responded to that claim by insisting that the scan was the one and only reason why Caulker left the training camp.
The club’s “nothing to see here” message was supported by the big man’s involvement in full training at Riverside in Dundee yesterday.
The Dark Blues kick off their season with an away Betfred Cup game against Stirling Albion tomorrow and Caulker is expected to be considered for selection if fit.
Meanwhile, Dundee striker Marcus Haber has been training with Bidvest Wits.
The 29-year-old Canada international is considering making a move to the Johannesburg-based club.
