Dundee have confirmed that Craig Wighton has signed for Hearts on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old front man had a medical at Tynecastle earlier today with the formalities of the deal concluded this afternoon. The fee is understood to be around £250,000 for the lifelong Dundee fan who made his debut for the club at the age of just 16. Wighton will forever be remembered for his famous goal in the “Doon derby” against local rivals Dundee United. However, he has struggled for game time this season and has found himself edged out by new recruits such as Jean Mendy and Ben Kallman. Now, Wighton will attempt to play his way into the first team at Hearts.
