Dundee have confirmed they have lodged an appeal with the SFA, contesting the straight red card shown to Kenny Miller during the 4-0 defeat to Rangers on Saturday.
Referee Kevin Clancy dismissed the veteran striker following a tackle on Borna Barisic in the 78th minute of the game at Ibrox.
Miller’s boss Neil McCann claimed afterwards that the front man had won the ball although TV evidence on the BBC’s Sportscene suggested otherwise.
However, Dundee are convinced they have a strong case as they attempt to have Miller available for Saturday’s crunch contest with Hibs at Dens.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Steven Caulker, who left the Dark Blues on transfer deadline day after triggering a release clause in his contract is understood to have joined Ukrainian side Arsenal Kiev on trial.
