Dundee boss Jim McIntyre has bolstered his squad with the addition of experienced centre-half Andrew Davies.
The 34-year-old left Hartlepool United at the start of this week with his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The Dens manager then admitted on Tuesday that he was interested in signing a player he knows well from their time together at Ross County with Davies now putting pen to paper on an 18-month deal with the Dark Blues.
The defender was skipper of the Staggies when they lifted the League Cup under McIntyre in 2016 and he brings a wealth of experience to Dundee as they look to haul themselves off the foot of the Premiership table.
He becomes McIntyre’s second addition of the transfer window following the capture of Craig Curran from Dundee United at the weekend.
