Dundee have confirmed that Nathan Ralph has triggered a relegation clause in his contract that could see him heading for the Dens Park exit.
The 26-year-old full-back was a rare success story for the Dark Blues last season and the former Woking player completed a near clean sweep of awards at the club’s Player of the Year dinner earlier this month.
Ralph signed a two-year deal with the Dark Blues last summer but he has been on the radar of other clubs including English Championship side Hull City.
Now, Dundee have acknowledged that he is free to enter into talks with other teams saying: “The club have been informed by Nathan Ralph of his intention to trigger a clause in his contract which allows him to speak to other clubs following our relegation from the Ladbrokes Premiership.”
