Gordon Strachan is delighted to be back at Dens Park – over 40 years after he first arrived at the club as a young player.

The former Scotland and Celtic boss has been appointed as Dundee’s new technical director and will try to enhance the Dark Blues’ academy set-up.
Strachan said: “It’s good for me as an individual and good for us as a family.
“We’ve come full circle. My wife’s from Dundee and she’s happy.
“I really have to thank Dundee for allowing me to try out my ideas and philosophies. I’ve got a lot of ideas in my head and I wouldn’t have been happy if they’d stayed there.”
