Dundee United are close to signing goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist on a new deal.
The Swiss-born 27-year-old has established himself as the number one at Tannadice and is a popular figure at the club.
Siegrist’s clean sheet against Dunfermline on Saturday was his 50th appearance for the Tangerines since joining them from Liechtenstein-based Swiss Challenge League outfit Vaduz in July 2018.
His current contract is due to expire at the end of the season so United have moved to extend it until the end of the 2021-22 season.
It is understood the player is keen to stay as United attempt to return to the Premiership.
It would his name to a long list of people recommitting themselves to the club recently: manager Robbie Neilson, coaches Gordon Forrest and Lee McCulloch, and players Louis Appere, Logan Chalmers and Jamie Robson.
