Former Dundee United captain Jon Daly has left Hearts by mutual agreement.
The Irishman became the under-20s coach for the Tynecastle side in January 2016 and was subsequently promoted to first-team coach.
There is, however, no room for Daly on the backroom team under new manager Daniel Stendel as the Edinburgh men try to avoid relegation from the Premiership.
A club statement confirmed: “Jon Daly has left Heart of Midlothian Football Club by mutual agreement.
“Jon became Hearts’ U-20s coach in January 2016 following a successful striking career with the likes of Dundee United and Rangers.
“He would go on to become a first team coach at Hearts and twice took on the role of interim manager following the departures of Robbie Neilson and Ian Cathro.
“The club would like to thank Jon for his effforts at Tynecastle Park and wishes him well in the future.”
