Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland has been selected for Scotland duty – despite currently being sidelined for his club.
Steve Clarke has named his squad for the Nations League double-header against Israel and the Czech Republic.
Shankland, who scored his first goal for his country in a Hampden Park clash with minnows San Marino last season, has been left out of recent United sides with an ankle injury.
It is hoped he will make his Premiership return for the Tangerines at Kilmarnock on Saturday.
Lyndon Dykes, who could have played for Australia, has been called up by Clarke, as has young goalkeeper Robby McCrorie.
