Dundee United manager Mixu Paatelainen can take his seat in the dugout for the season’s finale after receiving a two-game suspended sentence from the SFA.
The Tangerines’ boss was up before the governing body at Hampden to answer a charge that he breached SFA disciplinary rule 203.
The allegation was that “on or around the 91st minute you committed misconduct by shouting and gesticulating at away supporters” at the home game against Dundee on March 20, which finished 2-2 after United scored a last-minute equaliser.
The decision went against him but the two-match suspension will only be invoked if there is a further breach by the Finn before the end of the year.
That means Paatelainen will be allowed on the sidelines for Sunday’s home match against Hamilton Accies and the rest of what remains of the campaign.
The SFA confirmed the outcome as:Â “Two-match suspension (only to take effect in the event of a further breach of Disciplinary Rule 203 before the end of the calendar year 2016).”
