Mixu Paatelainen is expected to be sacked as Dundee United manager today in the wake of the club’s relegation.
The Tangerines went down to the Championship at Dens Park last night after city rivals Dundee beat them 2-1.
In his post-match conference, Paatelainen insisted he was still the man for the job, even claiming that you would be a “fool” to let him go.
However, Courier Sport understands that the decision has now been made by the Tannadice board to make a change and that the Finn will be informed he is no longer boss.
Paatelainen has left Tannadice after half an hour of discussions. Declined to speak to media.
