Dundee United remain in talks with Ray McKinnon but that hasn’t prevented two well-known coaches being linked with the vacant manager’s job.
Current Celtic assistant boss John Collins and former Hearts gaffer Csaba Laszlo are understood to have been recommended to the Tangerines as possible candidates to replace Mixu Paatelainen despite discussions still going on between United and Raith Rovers manager McKinnon.
Former Scotland star Collins has recently confirmed that he will be leaving the Hoops along with departing boss Ronny Deila when the season ends, while Laszlo (52) has been in charge at Chareloi in Belgium, the Lithuanian national side and MTK Budapest in Hungary since leaving Tynecastle in 2010.
While the managerial saga rumbles on, United’s first-team has been placed in charge of caretaker coach Gordon Young for tonight’s home game against Partick Thistle and the final fixture of the season away to Kilmarnock on Saturday.
