Striker Henri Anier has left Dundee United by mutual agreeement.
The Estonian international joined the Tangerines in January 2015 but only made 30 starts for the club, scoring six goals.
His departure should free up some much-needed funds for manager Ray McKinnon to make a signing or two in the coming weeks.
Anier thanked United and their fans for the support they gave him during his year and a half at Tannadice.
He said: “I have enjoyed my time here and take away many positives and would like to thank all the teammates who became my friends, coaches and management team for their professionalism.
“I also thank the fans and everyone involved with the club for their support.
“I will leave to take on another challenge for me but I will keep an eye on, and my fingers crossed for, Dundee United to have a successful season and good times ahead.”
