In-form attacker Peter Pawlett will be fit for Dundee United’s trip to the Falkirk Stadium today.
The former Aberdeen star has made a major impact since signing up from MK Dons at the end of last month.
He scored on his debut against Morton, was a major influence as the Tangerines beat St Mirren in the Scottish Cup and won the match-winning penalty at Queen of the South last weekend.
The 28-year-old did, however, come off early down at Palmerston.
Boss Robbie Neilson, though, has revealed that was only a precautionary measure.
“He hadn’t had a lot of game time this season before he came here and he was tiring in the second half last week,” said Robbie.
“Those plastic surfaces like the one at Queens are fast and take a lot out of you, so we thought it was better to take him off rather than risk him picking up an injury when he was getting tired.
“He’s been fine in training this week and he’ll be available.”
Returning to the squad today are Mark Connolly after injury and Calum Butcher, who is available after a ban.
Mark Reynolds will again be missing because for the time being he’s not being considered for games on plastic pitches.
The Bairns, managed by ex-United player and boss Ray McKinnon, go into the game after two weeks off because of last weekend’s scheduled opponents Ross County’s involvement in the Irn-Bru Cup.
Meanwhile, Dundee United’s home clash with Ross County, which was due to be played next Saturday, has been rescheduled to Tuesday March 19, due to United’s Scottish Cup quarter-final tie with Inverness Caledonian Thistle next Sunday.
