Falkirk are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to 2019 with a win against Dundee United today, according to No 2 Darren Taylor.
Taylor, who was also assistant to Ray McKinnon during their time in charge at Tannadice, has been impressed by his old club’s recent form under new boss Robbie Neilson.
United are three points adrift of top spot in the Championship, while Falkirk are second-bottom, just a point off the basement.
However, the Bairns are unbeaten in five outings since losing to Dunfermline on December 29 and go into the clash with self-belief.
Taylor, holding fort with McKinnon suffering from an eye infection, said: “We know a lot already about Dundee United. There will be no real surprises there.
“But since 2019 we are unbeaten and we aim to remain that way.”
