Dundee United manager Robbie Neilson is continuing his efforts to add new faces before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Word from down south is an offer has now been made for striker Peter Pawlett, whom the Tele revealed last weeks was a name high on Robbie’s list of possible targets.
The 27-year-old former Aberdeen star is in the final six months of his contract with MK Dons, for whom the United gaffer signed him.
If business is done, Pawlett would be set for a debut when Morton visit on Saturday.
That game will mark a return for United’s other Scottish Cup-winning boss, Peter Houston. He is now assistant at Cappielow.
