Robbie Neilson looks set to hand starts to new boys Cammy Smith and Aidan Nesbitt when Dundee United host crisis club Dunfermline today.
After a week of speculation, former Tangerines loanee Smith, signed up from St Mirren on a two-year contract last night.
Having started the Buddies’ last two games before the Premiership’s winter break, the 23-year-old is match fit.
Last week’s arrival Aidan Nesbitt also looks a likely starter after he impressed as a second-half substitute in the draw with Partick Thistle last Saturday.
Their availability will give the manager plenty food for thought as he chooses from an almost fully-fit squad.
“Pretty much everyone is fit. Nicky Clark has trained a little bit this week which is great. I don’t expect him to be ready for this weekend but possibly for the cup game (at Montrose) next week,” said Robbie.
“Everyone else is good. Lewis Toshney is back training with us as well so everything is alright.”
It’s still not clear if new owner Mark Ogren will make it over in time from America to be at the game.
But he will be here by the beginning of next week along with newly-appointed managing director Malachy Brannigan and sporting director Tony Asghar.
They will take up their duties from Monday.
Dunfermline have confirmed Stevie Crawford as their new head coach, just 24 hours after they sacked Allan Johnston.
And former United boss Jackie McNamara has returned to what was his first club as a player in a consultancy role.
It’s not clear if the man who was sacked by United back in 2015 will be at Tannadice for the game.
