With just hours to go to the end of the Scottish transfer window, there is speculation Dundee United are about to make their 14th signing of the summer.
The Tangerines have again been linked with a move for Algerian defender Rachid Bouhenna.
The 27-year-old’s name was mentioned in connection with United just under a fortnight ago.
Then manager Csaba Laszlo admitted he was aware of the player but stressed he had made no firm moves to bring him to Tannadice.
At that point he still had hopes of bringing Bilel Mohsni back, but, with that possible deal long since dead, his hunt for another central defender has been continuing.
And it now looks as if Bouhenna could be the man to provide the solution.
He’s spent the last three years in his homeland with MC Alger, but does have experience of British football from a spell with Doncaster Rovers.
United also have the option of offering deals to trialist Martin Wood and Mathias Thrane, though, as both are free agents, any business with them does not have to completed tonight.
And while time is running out, there is a chance some fringe players could leave before the midnight deadline.
