Csaba Laszlo wants Dundee United to speed up when their Betfred Cup campaign continues at home to Alloa today.
Despite a draw and a penalty shoot-out loss against Arbroath and a narrow defeat at Ross County in the two group ties so far, Csaba has been pleased with the signs coming from his rebuilt Tangerines.
The next step forward he wants to see, though, is quicker use of the ball leading to more chances being created.
“If I watch the team, Matej Rakovan, Adam Barton, Christoph Rabitsch, Callum Booth and others, they are really good football players,” he said.
“They keep the ball well and have some good ideas, but we have to do more in the offence.
“You can’t just control the game, you also have to go and finish, bring more danger in front of the opponent’s goal, be quicker.
“I told them that for the second half at Ross County, ‘OK we are comfortable with the ball but we have to bring more danger’.”
Fraser Aird will be in the squad after he sat out the County trip.
